Is this a Mercury motherboard? And is that P 'eye' G3 'eye' T?Or P L G3 L T?What is the question?Ya know Dual Channel memory is overrated, right? If a motherboard is capable of using Ram Memory in a Dual Channel configuration, it has two Channels. Motherboard with 4 Ram Memory slots has two slots in one channel, and the other two slots in another channel. The two ram memory modules ('Stick'), MUST be alike.Same frequency rate ('Speed')Same typeSame ram timingsSame chip configurationSame voltageThis is why it is best to use two ram memory modules that are alike, AND from the same ram memory manufacturer. When ram memory is used in a dual channel configuration, the two ram memory modules team up on the task.Kind of like Batman and Robin.ON paper it looks good. many thought they were getting an increase of up to 30 percent, in ram memory performance. In reality it is more like 1 to 2 percent.Tomshardware performed MANY tests, using MANY motherboard/processor/ram memory configurations, and found this out.So why do gamers use Dual Channel configuration?Hey, 1 to 2 percent IS an increase, lol!EVERY little bit helps.Post back in a Comment.Regards, joecoolvette

Why the world has created

Windows have some drivers ( common drivers that are published beore that operating system was printed) included in instalation discs. That solves most of the driver issues.

Although if you bought cheap motherboard it might not be included and those drivers may be realy hard to find.

I need mercury motherboard PI945gcm

This is your board:
http://www.mercury-pc.com/product-detail.php?link=p-mainboards&subtitle=Mainboard&productid=751#
There are specifications and download tabs lower on the page. You have Intel GMA 950 video and Intel 945GC and ICH7 chipsets. You can try your Intel drivers here:
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Chipsets&ProductLine=Desktop+Chipsets&ProductProduct=Intel%c2%ae+945+Express+Chipset+Family&ProdId=2115&LineId=127&FamilyId=40
The biggest problem you are going to have is with the sound. The IDT 92HD202 has been discontinued. You can try downloading driver from Mercury however, you may want to consider an upgrade to a sound card or graphics card. The Radeon HD cards will give you graphics and sound using ATI's DVI to HDMI adaptor:
http://www.txcesssurplus.com/servlet/Categories
You have a PCIe x 16 slot so you could upgrade.
