Reboot and select proper boot device
Hi, ull need to check the boot device priority in ur BIOS which is accessable usualy by pressing the delete key at the start of the boot process. If everthing is correct there and yet it doesnt boot from ur hard disk, try changing it to boot from cd and check if it boots. If it does then i think either your hard disk is corrupted or your OS.
Same thing
What is this "same problem" you're referring to? The things to check in your situation are dust build-up, reseating components, and trying a different power supply. If those things don't work it's probably a video card or piece of memory gone bad, assuming the computer did work and suddenly stopped.
Motherboard 755-a2
I go
Why can't I install Windows XP on my S-ATA HDD by SiS964?
A: You have to copy the driver paired with the motherboard package into a floppy disc before you installing WinXP or Windows 2000 on your system, and follow the notice showed on the screen to insert the floopy disc. The system will grab the needed driver from the disc to finish the installation of S-ATA HDD automatically.
Because SiS964 was announced before than Windows XP and WinXP therefore it can't recognize it. If you want to install a whole new WinXP (or Windows 2000) on S-ATA HDD by SiS964, you need to copy the necessary driver from the directory named floopy image on your driver CD to one floopy disc. When you begin to install OS, follows the instruction to put your disc into floopy drive. After this, you will keep on installing your WinXP smoothly. If you use P-ATA HDD, you don't need to do like this.
t this off the sis.com web site what does it all mean.
ECS 755-A2 won't go past BIOS Screen
do you have the setup cd that came with the board. the drivers probably need to be installed. if so run the disk and install the drivers and it will work.
No sound
Try this, often drivers get corrupted when trying to re install, go into the device manager and un-install the the device itself. The realtek, sound onboard device, and reboot, it should pick up the hardware on reboot, then it's going to tell you it has found the software for the harware, at this point you can try pointing it to the driver file that you downloaded or let windows decide, try one and if it dosen't work try the other, this should solve the issue, if it is trying to re insatll a corrupted file the new one you downloaded will work, also on my asus board you need to turn the realtek on in the bios, check that first, these things are frustrating sometimes you need to walk away for a few minutes and it clicks, good luck, Gym
No Signal on Monitor
Hi,, what you need to do is flash the bios there are 2 ways to do this I'll describe the two. Unplug the system and open it up.
1.) locate the jumper called jp1 or jcmos. Its currently set to 1 and 2,, set it to 2 and 3 ,, wait 10 seconds the set it back to 1 and 2
2.) locate the battery on the main board, remove it.. Its held in place by a pin, just pry it loose. press and hold the power button for 1 minute, release and press 5 times (to dump any current in the system) relpace the battery.
When the system boots you will need to enter the setup, load optimised defaults, save and exit.. Dont worry just follow the onscreen instructions to complete those steps.
Motherboard
Well you really need to get a manual for that. Check the website and download the manual with that model, for sure there is one.
I guess you have connected all the connectors there incorrectly so better look for a manual.
