What device did you encounter this problem on?

I can only then see this a a driver issue, or some conflict, I suggest that at the least, you download and install the latest version driver for your machine. You need to go to the Lanier website and find the driver for your exact make and model, then download to say you desktop, and then install the new drivers, This may just fix your problem also it would pay to also upgrade your Ethernet card driver too, also make sure you have all the latest service packs installed too, I have also, seen instances of this happening, when a switch, or a router or the like was mucking up the first few frames of data and they would then come right. But I would check the Printer Driver etc first.

If you are useing windows this will help you make any program run with your desied aplication ie.word,open office.it seems like adobe was installed to open any program it could this is normaly the defalt seting for aplications.>>rigth click on the document you want to open and select OPEN WITH> your aplication you want may be here in the list or for the first time select brows programs to find the desied one. select apply

Problem could be on the Glass or Mirrors.
Also could be the blk drum unit

Print out a counter page.
If the line is present clean the charge roller in the drum unit

If it is not present clean the glass and mirrors

Check the paper tray–if that paper isn’t straight, nothing else can be! This is a very common problem and I've had this kinds of problems a billion times. You're copier can't adjust the printing angle so trying to get hold of the manual will not help.

81/2 x 11 is not a custom paper size. Set tray 1 to 81/2 x11 plain paper and set your print driver the same way. the descriptions have to match or it will not print.

On the keyboard......User tools> administrator tools>address book.
you make your changes\ additions here.
You also must have your network settings completed in user tools. DNS, SMTP SERVER, GATEWAY ect....

Called out the tech, and it was a small sensor that had fallen off.

That will be the drum cleaning brush. It's job is to remove left-over toner, and clean the surface for the next page. Also, check the toner waste bottle - it may be full.

as if the cartridge is new.and colour is printing fine.then its not faulty cartridge or faulty printer.and yes you are absolutely right that it needs proper servicing.in the printer there are lens one lens is for colour and one lens is for black.if there is dust on the lens controlling black you will get lines and patches in black prinouts.but yes if the drum is got lines on it.that it will give same lines in the printouts.also you can get the drun serviced first before getting the printer serviced.a local printer repair shop does this drum servicing.also there comes a liquid to clean drum.you can get it from printer parts store.if want to do manually.but the shop will get it checked after serving in there printer.so it will be confirmed that is it drum or faulty /dusty lens in the printer. ----------- this will help.thanks.

No you have to do each side seperately

Open front and right door, remove toner, un plug photoconductor release photoconductor tab on upper left of it, new "PCU" will auto adjust, sold as a supply. Hope this helps. Carl
