A good place to see what machines are selling for is Ebay. That's where I sold a sewing machine and an embroidery machine.

It helps to know your product and machine embroidery lingo.

What are cassettes? Floppy disks? These make the machine borderline obsolete.

Memory cards are still around, but most EM now have USB connectivity or USB flash drives.

Satin thread? Embroidery machines use Rayon or Polyester embroidery thread.

Having had the machine recently serviced is also a plus.

I had the same problem. I took my Janome MC 8000 machine to Pocono Sew and Vac. The tech. told me that the repair would be over 300.00. I told him not to make the repair. He called a day later telling me he found a website that sold a back light that fit my machine for 50.00. he installed it. The machine works fine now. The back light is a little smaller then the screen, so there is a thin dark line at the top and the bottom of the screen. All the function can be seen, and work fine. You may not live in this area but maybe the tech can direct you to the web site or to a tech in your area. I hope this helps.

Your machine is a "computer" and needs a qualified Janome repair tech.

Your screen is bad and will need replaced. Contact your local Janome dealer and they can order and install one for you.

they are called janome bobbins, but need to be flat ( there are some out there with a curve). the best place is to try an janome store as i have had a few that will not fit

HiYou seem to have done everything as correctly as expected.There are some minor things that could be disturbing yet.Make sure that needle is exacly correct in her place and that the thread isthread from the correct side. One thing I knowworks wellwhen sewing thick parts is to hold the fabric in such a way that it is a bit streched under the needle and to let the machine go slowly over the thick bits.Hope this will be of some helpKolbrun

I'll bet it's the fuse. I had the same problem about a year ago.

Have you tried Alans Alterations at the MID WALES SEWING CENTRE they have a huge presence on ebay.They should be able to help you,or point you in the right direction.

Hai, Please take one small screwdriver and tighten the bobbin case upper small screw. Otherwise take the one empty bobbin tighten the bobbin case. After check the tension.

There is no easy fix. you will need a replacement part.

Hi, I have the same problem with mine. Janome have not been very helpful. I didn't know if it was the card or the card reader/writer. I have a Janome CX500. Have you solved any of the problems?

Hi, It probably is not major. Computerized machines have circuits that can be replaced. Take it in for service and then you will have your "go" machine in tip top shape.
