It's located 2" above the thermostat, you might as well replace the thermostat while you're at it, they're cheap and will fail if it hasn't already been replaced a time or two. Must remove the alternator and bracket to get to both. Obviously, the coolant needs to be drained to do either. The thermostat has 2 bolts that come off, that's easy. The coolant sensor just unscrews from the block. But remember to disconnect the wiring, just a clip. Save yourself the frustration, and remove the alternator and bracket. Take the serpentine belt off by using a breaker bar and taking a 3/8" extention and sticking into the square 3/8" hole in the tensioner. Turn the breaker bar clockwise and remove the belt. Good luck!
