Hi Deborah:
Time to trouble shoot..........
- Does the wet only happen when it is raining or when you wash the car? Possible windshield seal problem.
- Does the wet smell like anti-freeze or engine coolant (Heater core)
- Where does the dog lie after it has been swimming?
resealing the windshield should solve the problem i like to recommend safe lite auto. if there is no sweet smell in the car then it is the windshield. if it is sweet smell this would be a heater core.thanks for your question!
Hi Linda , you mite have a windshield leak ! You could possibly look under the dash an see if there is a water stain coming down the metal body inside ! If it were the passenger side I'd say you had a heater core leak .You don't have any unusual odors do you ? Like anti freeze ? Or does the windshield fog up when on defroster ?
Are you able to see if it is the heater core? Located in dash on passenger side. Can often see them from bottom of the dash if you stick your head down by the floor boards.
Check the heater core unit located underneath the dashboard on the passenger side of the vehicle. Even though your car's antifreeze is red, it may appear to be clear when there is only a small amount present. Was the liquid in the vehicle sticky and have any smell to it?
probably is a small seep in the heater core. does not have to be leaking enough to find any inside the car to have a strong smell in there just a small seep that makes the heater core wet will do it.
no, dry floor, check anti freeze pipe, if there is a leak bu a sealant at an autoshop and tape it up, top up anti freeze, re check for leaks, ya should be good to go
