Don't waste your money on unnecessary sources and unwanted repairs.
Get this manual online under $10-15 and get complete guide on whether to repair or not, service it, and how to repair etc

SOURCE: temperature guage

Right behind the grill around the rad. support on the passenger side (usually) there is a sensor called an ambient temperature sensor. That gives your outside temp. on your rearview mirror.

SOURCE: I have 2006 Chevy Colorado

There is a recall for valve problems. The warranty for this problem has been extended to 100,000 miles for that. Check with your dealer to see if that is the problem. If no help contact GM.

You have a shortage or a bad starter. Tighten all bolts leading to battery and starter. If still giving you problems, remove starter take to auto shop have starter bench tested.

SOURCE: Start problem

I have had the same exact problem now for 2 years. I have taken it to the dealer and it never does it for them and they say everything is within GM standards. I read about other gm cars having the same problem and some of them have been lucky enough to fix the problem by replacing the fuel pressure regulator. I am currently trying to see if its possible to replace in my '06 equinox. if you have any news please reply!

Starter stays engaged in park or nuetral but not drive or reverse

sounds like a problem with the ignition cylinder and or ignition switch, not returning when you let go of the key. Is this an automatic or standard vehicle?

2006 chevy colorado will not come out of park and go into gear

my car has this problem too i've found if you pull up from under the break then push the break in it'll engage something and allows it to be moved from park. though i have a car with a shifting knob, automatic car not a lever to pull on like on trucks.

4 cyl car will "rev"

It sounds like either the clutch plate or pressure plate. Can you move the car in gear without too much trouble? Some resistance, but can be done! Then you will need to replace the clutch and pressure plates.

It is most likely suspects.

1999 chevrolet cavalier standard transmition engage cluch car will start go into gear but will not move what is problem

The clutch pressure plate may have failed or the clutch plate may be worn to the rivets therefore not engaging the transmission. Either of these would be making a loud noise when the clutch is engaged. Another problem could be that the hydraulic fluid is low and not allowing the throwout bearing to engage the clutch. Get underneath the car and have someone push the clutch pedal down and make sure the arm that moves the throwout bearing is moving correctly.

Clutch problem?

Clarify please. When in gear & you take foot off the pedal it revs?
Your explanation appears to say that when you push the clutch, to disengage clutch, engine revs, as it should, and when you remove your foot, from pedal & it engages, truck runs as it should. Are you serious, or just wasting our time?

2006 Colorado

Check your fan clutch on water pump.(may be staying engaged) Also have cat converter checked for partial obstruction (may not be bad enough to give a performance problem yet) Both can give symptoms you posted.

Tranny or clutch?

Suspect would be the clutch. If there is not grinding in any gears 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th and reverse when you give it gas, then i would check the clutch.

Why does my rpm gage bounce when i push my clutch in?

May be an iac motor slow to react to change in load. RPM will change when shifting or engaging/disengaging clutch. Does not sound serious yet ... If you can, compare with similar vehicle and see it it does the same.
