I just received a remanufactured cylinder head for my 2008 hyundai tiburon 2.0l.. The problem is it will not properly line up with the alignment dowels on the block so, the head will not seat. I can get it down on one side the other side sits on the dowel but will not go all the way down. If I lift it off the side that it Is all the way down on it will drop down on the others side. Cannot get it down on both at the same time Any help would be appreciated

SOURCE: how do I line up the dowel pins in between the

What I used to do, when the head was in a tight area. I would cut the
heads off a couple of the old head bolts. And by hand screw one into top ctr. of the head mounting surface on the block then screw in the other just below it. Next. Place the gasket on the block and using the
bolts for guide pins slide the head down onto the dowels. If you don't
have a bench grinder or a cutoff wheel. Take 1 of the head bolts to a
hardware store or home depot, and pu a couple of cheap bolts 5-6" long
or a piece of threaded rod the same size as the head bolt. These will be
a lot easier to cut then the grade 9 head bolts. Hope this helps.

Try heating the dowels with a torch. That might be just enough to loosen them

I have a 2006 Hyundai Tiburon 4 cylinder 5 speed transmission it will not shift into 3rd gear it makes a grinding noise and you go to shift into fourth gear and acts like there is no 4th gear what do I do

sounds like the shifter plate has moved or the alignment on the gear lever mechanism is out of line or even the gear stick plate linc is out of line. how much wobble is in the gear stick when you put into gear. if you can put in gear and move it far left or right then its not working right.
