There are 2 capped ports the low and high sides. The freon gauge set will only fit on one of the two ports. The low side. Run the ac attach the freon hose and add as necessary

the low side has the larger tubes and the ports are different sizes so you can't put it on the wrong port

Add freon on the low side port:

The low side port is located on the thicker piping vs. the thinner piping.
It may have a black or blue cap.
The hose, don't worry' won't fit anything but this quick connector,
