What is the on board prcedure for code ck, 2002 Caravan

4 cylinder has 2coil to ck see if your getting current
also ck fuel pump when shutting off use obd2 and ck for codes

ck the wire harness in the drivers door jam ,you will have to pull back the rubber boot sometimes the wires brake there from repeted open and closeing of the door,if there ok ck. for power at the motor when operating the switch

P1405 is an EGR code this can be caused by a bad EGR valve and vaccum selonoid and or a bad DPFE sensor and blocked or melted hoses going to the DPFE.I usally remove the EGR Valve and using a hand held vaccum pump ck the Valve to see if it opens correctly if it is then ck the DPFE hoses if they are ok . Now if the EGR valve is bad You need to replace the DPFE and the Selonoid and the valve because the Valve not working burns them up internally. If the Valve is good first replace the selonoid ... its the cheapiest .... if that doesn't fix it replace the DPFE and the hoses going to it . If you know some one with a good Scan tool it may have a EGR self test prcedure built in like mine does and makes this easier but if not i have told you how with out a scanner

ck for vac leak

mcdevito75 Here, the air conditioning control will be on the heater control on the dash board. Look on your dash board for the heater control, usually close to the radio, on the heater control it may have A/C and A/C Max. if it does you have air conditioning if not than you don"t. a 99" Caravan should have A/C though. Also check under the hood if you see Silver metal lines comeing out of the firewall, not rubber, metal than you have A/c. Also look at the radiator if it looks like another radiator in front of the engine radiator with Silver metal lines comming out of it, you have A/C.

The color code is part of the vin number. Call the dealer with the vin and they should be able to tell you the color

P 0601 = Internal Controller Failure. PCM (Powertrain Control Module) Internal fault condition has been detected.
To clear the Code (and Engine Light) from the PCM use a OBD II Scan tool. If you do not have one, go to an auto parts store. They can hook one up for free. Clear the code using the Scan Tool. It is not recommended to disconnect the battery to clear the PCM Codes, as it will cause the engine to run rough.
If the Code/Light re-appears, there may be a problem with something else.
