well you did that all wrong no battery pull now blew up huge 100 to 150amp fuses or worst those nasty fusible links. the battery is now discharged so we charge it now. or jumper cable jump start it or borrow a charged battery then repair 1 to 3 blown up ALT FUSES

the cat(s)are always located as close to the engine exhaust manifold as posible so looking from under the car you can see them.

A failed cylinder head gasket is the most likely.

get at back of light fitting in engine bay . may need to move battery or water reservoir to gain more hand space. Turn the globe holder anti clockwise and unlock globe from light fitting. Small amount of turn/ twist needed see page 269 of owner manual

did you check all your fuses, if gas pedal- throtlle is controlled by cables tipycal, or is controlled by a sensor you want to check that. also check all your wires one of them maybe is burned or your pcm the THE COMPUTER. good luck.

check your battery and alternator. make sure the battery connection not lose and the alternator giving the charging.

I have the same problem here in Canada. I have tried the techniques that come with the book, but to no avail.(factory Homelink, with 3 buttons)

Could be a relay or temperature sensor. If you are good at troubleshooting, you could apply voltage directly to fan to ensure it works. If it does, you will have to start checking other components.

Sometimes a low battery or dead one can erase idle parameters in the computer memory. Also for 2002 to 06 the electric throttle position sender at the top of the gas pedal is very slightly adjustable. Loosen the nut and see if there is enough slot there to bring your idle up a hair.
