Did you check fuses and relays first? Diagnose first, then repair. A new motor comes after you connect 12 volts to the old one and see if it works.

My best guess if not a belt would be a bearing, water pump, alternator, power stearing pump, AC compressor all can make that noise.

must buy brackets for the calipers, many places in super chevy magazine sell them cheaply!!!

2005 may have electric assist power stearing no pumps fluids or any thing just a motor on the side of the stearing column. check gms recalls becouse they have major problems with the system.
I also came across an 03 monte carlo that had power stearing resivoir way down on the back side of the engine by the fire wall it took a flexable funnel to fill it

the cylinder lock and key needs replacing.

if this car has the 3800 or 3.8 ltr its on the passenger side towards the fire wall,the fill sits low in the back ,behind the engine,you might need a transmission funnel so you dont spill the p/s fluid all over the back of the engine,hope this helps

parts are not to high but labor will cost good bit more than parts, wheel bearing cost around 10 to 20 dollars each you have a inside and outsde bearing on each wheel, labor will be around 50 to 75 dollars just est. hope to help you,thanks robert b.

If you have 2 motor mounts on the front of the engine attaching it to the front of the car remove the mount bolt tie something a come along to the motor it will roll over toward the front of the car making it easy to work on the back of the motor

u got to take off the stearing wheel and u got to take the blinker switch off witch is about 3 screws and u should b able to c the tumbler take the pin out then it should come out
