You'll need to give us a bit more information if we're going to help. Use the "comment" link below. What vehicle is it, is it a diesel or a petrol engine? What does the yellow light look like? They often show as a little symbol. Yellow lights are usually 'caution' warnings. This means the vehicle's electronics has found something it doesn't like and flags it up as a warning light.
If it is the check engine light, Yellow light that looks like a engine, or may say "Check engine", Yes, it is safe to drive until you can get it checked. As long as the vehicle is driving normal. If the light starts flashing, DO NOT DRIVE it. A flashing check engine light means a misfire and could cause a fire due to raw fuel going down the exhaust into the cat converters.
Will need to have it daignosed by a professional and perform repair that is needed.
The "check engine" light is on because of a problem that the computer has sensed within the sensors of a faulty circuit.
The triangle is on because the problem is also effecting other modules within the vehicle.
Perform diagnostics to determine problem and repair problem..
Did the garage check the gas cap during the emission test? 90% of the time an evap leak turns out to be a bad gas cap. Or if someone had gas cap off while engine was running (pumping gas). Or if gas cap was not tightened all the way while driving. If this is the case, code saying evap leak, will clear after drive cycle self tests are done. Usually after 50 miles or more.(if the leak is solved)
It indicates that the vehicle's computer has recorded a code in the memory. It will be a malfunction code of some sort. A code reader tool is connected to the diagnostic connector under the dash to retrieve the code, which gives information as to which engine management system has experienced a malfunction.
which engine light? The Check engine light (yellow) or the Red engine light?
Flashing yellow means you are dumping raw fuel into your catalytic converter and will ruin the $800 cat very quick. It means you have cylinders not firing. Go to Autozone and get the fault codes to see what the cause is.
Yellow engine light on the dash board of Toyota Camry is the indication of low oil in car.-----------
Get the oil checked and refilled.Driving the car with low oil is not advisable.-------------
There is a reset procedure to stop this yellow light on dash.In some cases this helps ,but in some cases the oil needs to be refilled to stop this yellow light.-------------
I will mention the reset procedure as follows:--
Turn on the ignition switch, set the mileometer reading to miles not trip meter, turn off the ignition fully, press the button to reset the trip meter and keep it pressed down as you turn on the ignition key to key on engine off, keep it pressed down for about 15 seconds and then the light will be reset.--------------Thanks. keep updated for any more

The yellow/orange Engine Check Light is an indicator that your vehicle's computer has detected an abnormality within the engine's electronics or emission system.
Sometimes it can be a one-off abnormality, which eventually rectifies itself within 40 drive cycles.
However, if the Engine light remains lit, then this is an indication of something more concerning (but not necessarily serious).
If it does remain lit when driving, then you should have your local Jaguar service agent scan the computer for "trouble codes", which will quickly identify the component and/or location of the problem.
I suspect that yellow triangle lamp is your emergency flasher switch. If you were to press the switch (triangle) you would find the flashers start working and if you press it again they would stop.
