Chime that keeps going off every 15 mins

It is not the seatbelt chime. Chimes fast for several seconds, stops and repeats frequently

SOURCE: chime goes off

Open the drivers door and look at the hindge area and you will see a black rubber accordian tube between the door and the pillar. This is the protective cover for the wiring harness. Now take a screw driver and stick it into the latch that latches when u close the door and trip the latch. Now start up the vehicle and wiggle the black tube and see if you can duplicate the concern. If so then pull the cover back and inspect the wires for a broken wire. these models are bad for this happening.

SOURCE: door chimes contineously ringing ,

One of the doors has a loose dome light connection in the door switch. Lube all door switches and it should cure your problem. Ford used a lubricate that when it dries it makes an intermitant contact on the switch.

SOURCE: location of door chimes module

one of the doors is not closed completely or...... the button is stuck in the depressed position. try each door one at a time, shut each firmly and check the result or................ look inside the door frame when the door is open to see if the button is popped out(there is a button that looks like a stem in the door jam towards the hinge end of the door). if you find one that is stuck (pushed in as if the door was closed) then pop it out with your finger or small screw driver and then lubricate it with a few drops of oil.

Where is the Chimes module located on a 1999 Chevrolet Lumina

Audible Warnings Description
The seatbelt/ ignition key/ lamps alarm provides an audible warning for the following signals:
• The fasten seat belt reminder
• The key in the ignition reminder
• The headlamps ON reminder

Seat Belt/ Ignition Key/ Lamps (Warning) Alarm
Behind the instrument panel, on the right side of the A/C module

Looks like it has several connectors to it, just pull the one connector to stop the chime (warning) your hearing. Assume you have one on all the time? annoying isn't it .

Disable seatbelt chimes, will not go off, since driver door been replaced.

Sounds like the door switch is not switching or not connected. Sometimes the switch is external in the door jamb/closing area, sometimes it is part of the door catch. Maybe check if the door light on the dash stays on, also if the interior light works on door setting.

How to stop the chime on seatbelt on 2005 dodge dakota

Are you wearing your seatbelt when it chimes? If not, wearing your seatbelt will shut the chime off. If it chimes when you have it on, the switch inside the seatbelt locking mechanism may not be functioning properly, and the mechanism may need replaced. Look at the wiring next to your seat and follow the wires that leave the locking mechanism. They travel under the seat and plug into a wiring connector near the rear of the seat. Make sure it is plugged in and check the wires for damage.

I have a 1997 toyota corolla that one of the chimes (seat belt, key ignition or lights) just started dinging and won't stop until the car is turned off.

Get in the car, make sure your dome light is set to door-operation.
Close all the doors, does the dome light go out?
If so, it's not the door ajar chime. If not, one of your door pin switches is defective.
Buckle your seatbelt, does the seatbelt warning light on the dash go out?
If so, it's not the seatbelt alarm. If not, it's the seatbelt buckle receiver.
The light warning works with the key off, so it is not that since turning the car off would not stop it.
Last thing it could be is the ignition key alarm.
I have seen a few malfunction over the years.

Sometimes on start up there is a series of two chimes. What does this indicate.

Are you wearing your seatbelt when you start the car as this is the most likely cause for the chimes. having the door ajar would cause the chimes as well, but they would keep going until the door was closed
