the front differential is starting to make a silight gridging sound

as the nut is attached to the ac shaft and not the pulley I would activate the ac clutch so that the pulley will not free wheel and I would use a 1/2 impact gun to do it up or undo it. Use an old belt in the pulley and clamp it at the pulley with vice grips as a means of holding the pulley steady.. If you have the compressor off the vehicle clamp the belt in a vice next to the pulley instead of the vice grips

would need more info as most codes are 4 digits ,have tried 8384 but thats not a regognised code number

what color is the smoke? Could be engine oil caused by a bad valve seal. Shaking could be due to fouling plugs from the oil. Need to pull off valve cover and replace seals. Need more info.
