How do i fix my car consumption of fuel
You need to offer more information... but basically I will say this:
1. Get a professional tune-up.
2. OR, if you are pretty handy with cars and tools,
a) Replace all the spark plugs with new ones from NGK.
b) Change out the fuel filter
c) Change the air filter
d) Change the oil and oil filter
THEN, take the car to a dealer and have the timing checked...
If the muffler system is the original, there is a slight possibilty that your catalytic converter needs to be replaced, and this will increase your fuel economy also. Lastly, make sure your tires are inflated to proper tire pressure... maybe 32 psi in all tires. Low tire pressure will decrease your fuel economy greatly, make it harder to steer, and will wear out your tires quicker.
What does ODO stand for??
ODO... wasn't he in Star Wars? Seriously though, ODO can mean Odometer. Where are you reading this at?
How can i make my 1996 toyota camry 2.2l sei auto
8 km per litre, or 12.5 litres/100km is certainly a bit heavy for that model, but not disastrously so, as in city driving it was rated at 10 L/100 km when new by Govt agencies where I am in Aust.
So the usual suspects in an older car are
- dirty air filter
- low tire pressures
- spark plugs worn or fouled
- ignition timing incorrect
- fuel pressure too high
- fuel injectors worn
- evap canister filter blocked
- emissions system faulty (EGR valve or Vacuum Switching Valve)
Dash lights on 1996 camary wont work
Some models have a separate rheostat that controls the brightness of the dash this could be bad. check for power on both sides while turning the knob.
