How to remove the rear drive shaft
Un-bolt the drive shaft from the pinion shaft on the rear axle, there are 4 bolts that require a 12pt. socket. 13mm I think. If there is a carrier bearing on your vehicle, you will need to remove the two bolts attaching it to the cross-member between the frame rails. Then slide the shaft out of the rear of the transmission or transfer case.

How to remove the oil pan on a 2004 dodge ram 2500 diesel
What motor is in it? Mostly have to take all the oil pan bolts out, undo the motor mounts and raise the motor up enough for the oil pan to clear the cross member. make sure you don't have too much in the way when you raise the motor, as you may break something.
