I can only imagine how cold it is, I suffer when it gets down to 60F. When they showed ice road truckers, their trucks are actually heated because the oil become frozen in the transmission. you also may require different grade of oil with an anti freeze additive, different to the summer, If 1 of your bans have broken due to freezing to the drum, no heating will help, the band acts as a brake and the gears allow the drive to go out the drive-line, no brake no drive, same in each gear, just a different drum brake same clutch drives them all, same cure remove the transmission, sorry

You can bypass it by taking it out of "D" and put the shift selector in 1 from a stop, then to 2 as you accelerate. These transmissions are problematic, especially if you have a programmer. Most likely needs a rebuild.
Erratic acceleration and rpms.constantly shifts
If you have a gas engine and a 45RFE transmission the retaining plate on the side of the valve body may have started blowing off. Transco makes a shift kit that has a thicker plate so this does not happen again. This is just something I have seen before and something you can check ask your mechanic about.

Check the cruise control fuse. Do a visual check of all wiring relating to the cruise control system. Look for melted insulation, broken wires, burned wires and twisted wires without a wire connector. Repair any wire damage with the splicing and wire connecting tool and the right size wire connector for the wire you are repairing.
