remove alternator and have bench tested

You sometimes have to put something between the cage and the motor and tap on the shaft. Often times the cage breaks apart.Soaking the shaft with WD40 or other product may help break it loose.

If it is not along the bottom of the frame where your fuel lines run, it is located inside the fuel tank

it could be the relay, fuses or bulbs. if fuses and bulbs arent burnt out most likely will be the relay in the fuse box under the hood.
