And you can now lift your gate. That is a pain I know. You can buy a replacement ecm module, if that is the problem on E-Bay from $80 on up to ridiculous prices.

find an accredited service center that has experience on your make of vehicle and get a diagnosis done and a quote 2 wheel bearings and 1 hour labour for $500.00 seems excessive so get a second opinion

Either a broken wire under seat or seat module is bad. Also check your fuses.some have a fuse box under back seat
