Remove the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement . Important: The fan nut has left hand (REVERSE) threads. Do not completely remove the fan from the crank adapter shaft. Loosen the fan nut from the crank adapter shaft using J 41240-5A . Raise and support the vehicle. No sir, on the ly7 HFV6 3.6l in the 04-09 srx and cts the knock sensors are located on the sides of the engine block. Bank 1 and two are visible fringe wheel well. Not to hard to get to with a 3/8 drive 13mm socket, universal joint, and short extension.
