Continuous metal knocking noise while driving in 2nd gear?
First thing to do is ensure all the transmission oil levels are correct. It is a good idea to draw a little oil into a sight glass to check the condition.
Check the condition and security of of the propshafts and universal joints and a thorough wheelfree inspection of the underside.
It is perhaps worth noting the gearbox rotates considerably faster than road speed. A road speed ticking is unlikely to be directly related to the gearbox.
The only things that do rotate at road or wheel speed are the wheels and things connected directly to them - brake rotors, drive shafts/half shafts, differentials...

Jeep 1999 wrangler Power steering pump failure
not normally
there may be metal flakes in the filter in the reservoir so replacing it would be a good idea
don't bother repairing the pump, it will be more cost effective to get a new one
if short of cash , get a good unit from the wreckers/ junk yard

Jeep 2012 Wrangler 4 door sport unlimited..
When I
first off we can hear it , see or or drive it,
so... answer will tend to be useless, on NOISE
why not find source of the noise first.
so it does it parked with brakes on, making the source(Location)
10x more easy and 100x more safe to find. no?
why not demo it to shop, and bingo, found. all in minutes
they open the hood and hear the fan belts sing, they are bad.
but can be something loose. (id say too ,not the trans)
when you shift, do say drive, the engine twists, and trans and all drive shifts engaged, (rear) 2wd.
so any of that can make noise, even a loose mount.
and more lots more. find a real mechanic, ASE shop
and not stealerships, that want to sell you a new trans for $3000
a good shop has an electronic stethoscope, that can find locations 99% of the time. (not u-joints do to they spin and make noise then mostly)
the stealershop is too busy to test, they stack money, only there.
1995 jeep wrangler 2.5l, 150k
From
it appears from your description that it is a clutch operation problem
in that it is not disengaging properly to allow the clean selection of first gear
that amounts to air in the hydraulic system, faulty slave cylinder or faulty clutch master cylinder
unless you have oil on the clutch plate causing it to stick or a dry or seizing spigot bearing in the flywheel( possible ), there is no report from you about a clutch problem( slipping , shudder smelling hot)
At this point replacing both the slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder would be the fix especially if they have not been serviced since manufacture
take it to an accredited brake /clutch specialist shop for diagnosis /quote
some vehicles have the slave cylinder internal in the bell housing (very bad and repair costly manufacturing idea) and if that is your case , the transmission will have to be removed to replace it
should that happen and as the box will be out , it will be cost effective to inspect the clutch at that time

2003 jeep wrangler tj 2.4L my coolant fan won't come on. i replaced the coolant senser the relay and fuse still won't come on. i hot wire fan to the battery it comes on
2.4L so did you first idle it to get over heat,220f so it can kickon,
scanning the ECT s,proving it hit too hot,, per SM>??
the key here is what, a real schematic,
and a simple voltmeter
some jeeps also have a modulated fan.(and driver for it)
fuse 4, PDC good. tested?
it goes to fan relay , contacts and then to fan motor circuit breaker
no air pocket on top of engine, making, ECT lie?
i the pcm sees ECT overheat
it puts 12vdc across the fan relay coils
if not the wire there bad,cut or pcm bad.
the PCM pin C2-p17 LG wire goes to relay pin 4
he PCM grounds this pin (using a transistor)
the relay closes, fan turns on.

My 99 jeep wrangler shutters
take it to an accredited suspension center as it appears that there is a problem with suspension mounts and wheel alignment
Were is the fuel filter located on a 2005 jeep wrangler SE 2.4L
There is no external inline fuel filter, no manufacturer uses them anymore. There is a nylon fine mesh screen on the inlet to the electric fuel pump, it never needs to be serviced unless the fuel pump is being replaced. Most often even then you just wash it out in Stoddard solvent

My 1995 wrangler seems to
jeeps are chrysler and use the same components as the others of the range
what you are familiar with in other makes is the same expectations in the jeep
run the fault codes to determine the sensors that are not working
I have a 2005 Jeep Wrangler X. When the power distribution center is connected there is a short to ground. Removing the battery connection to the power distribution center the short goes away. I hav
its bad,the PDC
no country stated, no engine stated,? why?
the 2005 (answering for USA)
PDC hard short all fuses, all breakers all relay out
means what?
well power distribution2 below shows all that, every wire there.
ASD relay pulled? you never said relays, they can (weld closed inside contacts can)) and is unfused, this relay. fact
i read the 22 pages for you there,
its just fuses and relays, no magic until 2007 (TIPM electronics)
this car is easy fix,. due to 2005 year.
looking now , TJ unlimited it is.
see the manual yet, see how this all works 2003 to 2006 year.
chapter 8w shows wiring, and modules the rules.
8w, pdc 2, chapter see that here, its there, clear as day.'

Fog lights stop working
why not get a auto-electric shop to do what you cant do.
why not?
you want us web bunnies to teach electrics in this text box?
really>?
I can, but wont. not now,
what is best is leave the cars, electrics alone.
dont hack stock parts.
better is a clean install of fogs
also some states have laws on how fogs work, (logic based on headlamps or parking lamps) so .... i cant guess your state.
a new fuse box or inline fuse
a new relay,
a new switch
and wire it all so it cant catch fire. (that fuse does that)
if you need a schematic for fogs, its generic
and can be found 1,million hits on google

Wiring diagrm for egr valve 2009 jeep wrangler 3.8
JK jeep, i have 08 and full docs.
it wires to the PCM, same wire colors
as you can see drawing dont work right in fixya.
they get "crunched" badly"
the EGR is PWM modulated,
first is to clean in. the exhaust path must be good
the EGR must not stick closed or open.
p0405 means the pin on sensor part is stuck low.
tell me in most cases, the valve is stuck closed.
clean it is best first action.
the monitor pin is at X, this tells the PCM where the EGR moved
per PCM command. (called feedback) yours is hard stuck.
