Im looking for the ECU fuse on a 2006 jeep commander under dash what fuse is it?
the cars electrics are complex. as is the ECU (now called a PCM)
the PCM has up to 3 to 4 fuses.
typically 1 for spark, 1 for fuel and 1 for PCM and one more for the ecu memory fuse, that if pulled clears the PCM errors (DTC:)
all this is in the FSM.book (factory, serv. man)
btw if the PCM CEL lamp is dead, that be the PCM main fuse.
also part of MAIN relay on all cars with EFI and the ASD relay.
in 2007 jeep wiring changed radially, so.... something to consider and know that they some times do that gradually.
is this a gas engine,? there are 3 gas engines, (sizes)
the engines size also dictates which PCM you have.
sure wish i had just a clue as to a symptom so i dont have to read the full wiring tree..... 32 page in the fsm on fuse/spark alone.
JB fuse 24, to pCM. (jb means cab box
) PDC means engine bay. MIP box has power feed to PCM too on pin 12 (more later )
PDC fues 6. for ASD main.
PDC fuse 28 the injectors.
PDC fuse 16, coil spark.
i missed some, as i did not see the hot all the time fuse (mem)
ah, pdc fuse 20 is PCM memory. found it.
page 2 is missing on my source, so....
the PCM also does the job of TCM to shift some transmissions.
and that may have its own fuses too.
