Yo! i will only advice you not to try opening the mp3 because if you do, you might nit be able to couple it back.please see an engineer for assistance..thanks

Three possibilities..
1. Dirt on the outside of the lens. Clean it with a lens cloth.
2. Something got inside the lens somehow. Do not take it apart yourself. Have a proffesional clean it.
3. The LCD screen is bad.
Not without removing most of the chassis. I am wondering if what you think is dirt is actually screen deterioration. One has to be carefull cleaning even the outside of the screen, except with a damp and then dry soft cloth. The inside of the screen is even more delicate and any pressure can rupture it easily and replacement is astronomical
Dirt inside of the headphone jack can be the culprit. If you have canned air, you can blow it out, or twist the headphone connector inside the jack to clean the contacts.
Usually the best way is to remove the top back cover and clean the inside of the screen with a clean, dry cloth, but be careful because the mirror is mounted on the inside of the top back cover.
