HP Compaq 2510p won't boot & has a Black Screen? Hey, I have a HP Compaq 2510p Notebook, which was reformatted and had Windows Vista Business (32 bit) installed on it and everything was fine. BUT now when I try and start it everything seems to come on, lights, DVD-ROM, fan everything but the LCD screen it's black, not even back lit just completely off. I press the power button it tries to start but actually reboots itself seconds later then, it starts again and this time it stays on. Both times the screen just never comes on! I tried a BIOS update via a CD & USB, both in boot-able format using the HP Notebook System BIOS Update, but I just don't know if it's actually doing anything. What button should I be pressing if any when the notebook is booting (starting) up? Does the boot order have anything to do with not being able to do this update? I can't change it now, because I can't see anything. May be it another update that is required to resolve this. All hardware had successfully installed on it, and not exclamation marks could be seen in Device Manager. Can't boot the Windows disc. It will start to spin as you expect but it doesn't go any further than that. Any help is really appreciated! It's a sign of RAM failure. Replace your RAM.

I have an HP/Compaq nc6220 laptop. When I try to boot it up it flickers the goes to black screen and won't boot up. What should I do?

If you havent tried to boot your operating system from a disk or jump drive (which you can get from you local PC store for around 5 bucks) then I'd say your either missing harware components, or the ones you have are fried, and your better off buying a new PC.

Screen on presario 2500 is black blank and won't change

If your laptop appears to boot up and the hard disk LEDflashes, then the problem is probably a back light fault. This can be a faultyinverter or a faulty CCFL lamp. Please click on this link and follow myinstructions to identify the fault and possible fix :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r3598095-faulty_laptop_lcd_screen

BOOTMGR is missing

This may be due to the reason that your Compaq model is only Vista or Win7 Compatible.I didn't get your question properly but as you're having no windows or DOS in your machine. All you need is a Bootable Windows Disc and a working DVD rom to get this done.Cause commands or anything else will require that and even if you fix it with some tricks. Some Other file missing message may appear. But if you just want to push yourself. Normally are Booting files are in the root folder in my case it's in C:\ like NTLDR BOOT.ini BootSect.dos so try to access your root drive.

HP compaq connect TV

I believe that model only has a VGA out. So unless your tv has VGA input you would need to purchase a converter.
