Well yaeh lol. How long did u have it 4 and how long ago u ckeaned up in side ??? Thers is like a funel tunnel directly from inside of yr Fan Cpu to an outside grill that is ida on yr back (not bottom lol back ) or on left on the side.. u have to look if it not bloked. As if it is. Thats the symptoms u'll be getting all the time u till cleaning it. Also the fan in side collects quiet a lit there 4 making yr fan work extra hard, thats were the noise will be frm, and fron that it cant cool yr cpu on time and cpu's on them are running extrimly hot up to 100% and if thats happening u will get freezes and ramming up.. also since after clean instals u have same problems. I woukd check if u dont have same soft or device that u connect or using and it may be : ida slaging coz u got XP, or incorectly configured ( if it device ) or has wrong dtiver or outdated one, that will pull yr hall system back... but all that can be checked wile it happening, I would recomend installing small soft to monitor real time yr cpu temp, it really small wont use any am hardly but it will show u what is happening wi yr cpu temp than you will know if it worth openning to clean it as it is a bit of job.. and second run task manager to monitor what is pulling yt lapi wen it freezing.. well tjats a start ?? like the first post ever answering their own post way to go dude. hp has its own PDF view and sure if you load it it changes the defaults from adobe.

when on google page goto tools and then goto internet options click on that,then a window will open just click on use current the click ok.

when you get google page on your screen,goto tools then set it from there.

when you get the google page up,goto the top of the page and look for the word,,tools..tap on it and look right at the bottom and you will see the word,internet options,go in there and you should see a box open saying,,internet options,and in that box you should see,www.google.just below that you should see,,,use current,,click that and it should save the google page.

You may have a problem with the display driver. I would go to the Control Panel>System>Device Manager and delete the display adapter and then reboot. It will automatically re-install the default driver when you reboot. If that doesn't help, go to the HP website and download the latest driver from there.

what operating system was the old hard drive ?

need to format new hard drive then install an operating system.

right click on my computer go to manage and device manager you can see ports select ports select LPT ports uninstall

If the problem is is resolved in safe mode the issue most likely lies with the display drivers. Try find and install the lasted display drivers for your unit or if there isn't one re install the current one. You should find the drivers you are looking fr on Compaqs website.

Is the battery charged? Looks like you try to startup the laptop with a discharged battery.

go to right hand side of the page at the top should be a drop down menu find tools scroll down to internet options type on Google and apply this will change ur homepage to google hope this helps x
