Take the battery out and run directly from the ac adapter. If it works then the battery is blown up. But if nothing happens and there is no activity then motherboard fuses may have blown or worse the motherboard is faulty. Look for another laptop in that case.

Try removing the battery from the back and then running it directly through the AC adapter. Sometimes the battery and AC adapter have conflicts and it can cause a laptop to become inoperable.If this doesn't fix the problem in any way, I would recommend trying a new battery or AC adapter.

There should be a touchpad on/off button on the top row of lights above your keyboard. It is a square icon, tbh it looks like a small touchpad. If this doesn't work there may be a problem with a driver. First try the quick launch buttons driver, then try the synaptics driver. Post back if this doesn't help

Wireless card not present or not working

sounds like your batt(i asume is a lithium) is not givivng enough amps to run a screen and only thing u can do is unfortunatly replace the battery, u can try seeing if it completly fried, by unpluging cord...hitting start key when its frozen, then plugging back in to unfreeze. if the start menu is up that means your battery has amps, just not enough to run ur screen, if that dosnt work, your battery is shot, and you need to replace, either way, you need to do this, sorry i wish i had more options.

You could try to remove the CMOS battery for a few hours, sometimes that will reset. Contact HP for a one time BIOS password or ask the person you got it from.
