How to make screen size smaller - HP Computers & Internet

Try changing the screen resolution to 1024 x 768 or higher.

If screen size is smaller, is the size changing when turning channels ? If so then you have to go into settings and change the aspect ratio to either Normal (then all channels will appear the same). If you choose a size then all the channles will appear that way. Your color wheel could be going out if the green color is not working or has problems "meshing" with the other colors. Hope this helps

on the right side of your screen it will show the % of the screen try adjusting it to a smaller size ie 100% or 75% just try that if not go into start panel and select apperance and personalization
and then you will see the display click onto that and open the (make text and other items larger or smaller) click on size you wish and ok.hope this helps you for windows 7.

Movies are shown at a higher resolution than games. That is why the picture is smaller with games than movies. If you turn the Auto Picture Size off, you can set lower grade video to a larger screen size but you will lose quality.

Right click on the desktop and select Properties right at the bottom of the pop-up menu. Then a "Display Properties" window will open. Click on Settings. In this tab you should see a slider bar with the title "Screen resolution", (drag this to the right to make the screen more detailed/smaller and your icons smaller) or (drag it to the left to make the icons larger and the screen size less detailed/larger). Then hit Apply.

NB: If your screen goes blank it means that your display card cannot handle the given resolution. If this happens immediatelly hold down the"Enter" key on your keyboard until the display comes back. Then try a lower resolution.

1. Select System Preferences

2. Click on the Displays icon

3. Selecting a higher resolution will make things smaller in the screen.

· As example: x1024 768 icons and text will be large, 1280 x 1024 icons and text will be smaller.

Press the F11 button to get full screen.
To return back to normal screen, press the F11 button again.

You can also hold down the CTRL key on the keyboard and Scroll down the scrolling button on the mouse.
To revert to normal , again hold the CTRL button on the keyboard and scroll upwards.
