Emma, your dehumidifier doesn't have a heater. I think you are confusing the Thermometer button as a heater. The Thermometer button is for setting the the ambient air temperature in the room, the unit is running in. It doesn't change the temperatue in the room one way or another. It's not necessary to set it, unless you're operating the dehumidifier in a basement. That's the only time it would affect the unit's performance.

I hope this helped you.

LTD504TDL..display keeps going back to 30% humidity

I appreciate your inquiry, friend!

I see that you are having a complication with your Frigidaire dehumidifier going back to 30% after setting it. This could be a possible issue with your sensor or control panel. I would recommend performing a reset and you can do that by unplugging the power cord for roughly ten minutes. Are you currently in warranty? I would suggest contacting your manufacturer to see if there is any additional coverage on your dehumidifier. Best of luck! -Matt

How can I used a dehumidifier as a heather

Thank you for your inquiry, friend!

From what you have described you would like to use your Frigidaire dehumidifier for a heater. Unfortunately you are unable to use your dehumidifier as a heater. You dehumidifier will pull air from the room and distribute the same air. I would not recommend performing any alterations on your dehumidifier as that can void any warranty. Hopefully this is helpful. -Matt

The F2 code is on in the humidity window of my Frigidaire dehumidifier? Not in manual. What does this mean?

Good Morning friend, thank you for your inquiry!
I see that you are having trouble with your Frigidaire dehumidifier displaying an error code of "F2". Typically, an "F2" error code stands for a miscommunication error. This could be a possible problem with a sensor or control panel. I would suggest performing a reset and that can be completed by disconnecting the power from your dehumidifier for roughly ten minutes. If you are still under warranty I would recommend contacting your manufacturer to see if any additional assistance can be provided. Hopefully this is helpful. -Matt

Unit comes on briefly then kicks out bucket without getting any water out of the air. Basement is very wet

Hello friend, I appreciate your post!

From my understanding your Frigidaire dehumidifier is shutting off and on without removing any moisture from the air. I would recommend trying a different outlet within your basement and adjusting the setting to see if that would help. Additionally, try to turn the unit on continuous drain to see if it pulls any moisture out of the air. If your appliance continues to shut on and off I would reach out to the manufacturer to see if they could assist with any additional resolution. Hope this information proves helpful. -Matt

Unless it can be 100% gravity feed (1 inch drop per foot) you might need this:

Additional info:

Dehumidifier pump assembly conveniently attaches the pump kit to you dehumidifier. connect a run hose to a nearby sink, pump, or floor drain. this pump will push water through a hose to up to 18 vertical feet for drainage through a window.

This part is also known as:

If you can gravity feed it and can get a hose around the output pipe then any flexible hose will work that is slightly larger than the output pipe.

Compressor short cycles

The cycling is related to physics, different ambient temperatures will make it perform differently, over time. What matters is the output temp, (and the pressures).

Puts off a lot of heat

Additional heat from a dehumidifier should only be the electrical heat generated from the compressor. This is due to the fact that the cooling coil and condenser coil (hot bit) are normally located next to each other with a common airflow so the heat generated should be minimal. Hope this helps.
