the warmth to the carburetor will cause dirt to expand inside causing this to happen. Usually after 2 to 3 years these caburetors are no longer good to use. A new one will be better to have to run your trimmer
Walbro makes these caburetors and nobody likes to service them for their size is small and the cost is far cheaper to replace than fix
check your fuel filterin tank and see if dirty, also you may have to clean the carb, normally the primer bulb pulls gas through the carb and back to tank, so if it stays down(primer) something possibly dirt is holding it down or try loosening gas cap and see if it pops back up and works right, if so your vent in gas cap is not working, if thats not it time for a carb clean/rebuild, Hope I helped You
Most likely it is the spark plug, but could be a dirty fuel system. I'd start with the spark plug then go from there. you can also use a good quality fuel injector cleaner in your gas to help keep all your small engine carbs clean. If the problem persists there is a fuel filter inside the gas tank that plugs onto the end of the fuel pick up line that could be clogged. Worst case a carb kit can be gotten for them for about $20 bucks. Hope this helps. Please vote yes, thank you.
Some disassembly may be required to get to the starter/recoil unit to fix this. The unit has Torx head fasteners and some level of mechanical skill is involved. Check your warranty?
My suggestion is to return it. This is just a sign of future problems
you are likely to have in the future. Think about buying a better item
from a dealer that services what they sell. It is very much worth the
difference in price. More than likely the unit they sell you will last
5 times longer than what you buy in the home center. Think about it.
The servicing dealer does not want to have to repair everything they
sell 4 or 5 times a year so they will not sell you junk.
Hi Start from the filter in the tank to the bottom of the carby then from the top of the carby to the short primer pipe then from the long pipe on the primer back to the tank. Hope this helps.
I assume the tank has gas. The first thing to check is for spark at the plug. Remove the plug from engine, connect the plug wire to the plug and ground the side of plug to metal engine housing using pliers with plastic grip handles so you don't get a shock. Pull the starter cord and watch the plug for a spark jump. If you have spark then it is likely a gas starved situation. All these small engines should be run dry before storing in the fall of year to prevent carb from gumming up over the winter. Anyway remove the gas line and drain any gas from carb and drain tank too if it has old gas from last year. Replace fuel line and spark plug. Using new gas and 2 cycle oil, plus an ounce of STP gas treatment, refill tank. Work the primer bulb several times and pull the throttle several times, then pull cord. Keep repeating to see if you get a start.
when you put the kee on do you ear the gaz pump going if no get somebody to crank the the engine take a hammer and it the gaz tank most of the time the pump gonna kick in but get it check out you may have dirt from the fill up or simply change the gaz pump
