CD tray not closing then opening again. Unable to read a disc.

it might be the lazer that reads the disc

eject belt propably worn out, does not close lid proper - so ejects back. change of belt solves problem.

this depends on what make of disc mostly the philips machines only work with their own brand of disc try placing an original disc if thats ok then its the blank cd that you are useing got to be philips brand

My friend has the same problem. Its the laser that reads the discs. Its not working properly.

If it says "reading" you just have to wait. H.A.W.X. is a big game.
If it says "open tray" you have to close the tray :)

Unless, Check the CD for scratches and marks, or else try the CD on another Xbox 360 console.

try to clean the lens in ur x box by buying a can dust remover or you could buy a dvd eye cleaner the wierd sound in just ur x box stalling on the game cause it cant read it

Problem:
I also have a bose Lifestyle 48, and the same problem has happen to me where the DVD player would not open,
Solution:
Unplug the unit, Wait a few seconds, after plugging the power back in, immediately hit eject so that the player does not have time to spin up and try to read the disc again

With the unit in Standby mode (off), press and hold the Display button. The trays will then unlock.

Power Calibration error indicates that the drive hasn't been kept clean and is unable to guarantee a good write to disc...
I recommend a wet and dry CD/DVD Cleaner disk with Alcohol on the wet side (Like Tape Head cleaner liquid) and let it dry for a minute then run the disc again... if it still happens the drive is on its way out.
