Sounds like the operating system has crashed somewhat.... Is it still operational enough to read a firmware update disc?

HERE YA GO!! GOOD OLD FASHIONED BEATING FIXED MINE... I PROMISE THIS. When you turn on your CDX... HIT THE SQUARE AREA where the play button and the cue buttons are located. It will jump to CDX on the screen and work fine. Mine did this and i messed around with bumping it and stuff and figured this out

Have you tried downloading the most recent rom update for the CDN-90? All you need to do is download it from here http://www.numark.com/contentmgr/showdetails.php/id/1493/tt/5 , then burn the download to disc. Once that's done, put the disc into the player, switch the player off and wait 10 seconds, then switch it back on again. the player will read the disc and flash the ROM. this should reset the player for you. Before you ask, you can out the disc into either side of the player. Full instructions are given with the download.

all light on solution... replug the 2 cables for integrated circuit on the picture.

faced the same pb only with MP3s audio tunes burnt on cds (crackles..pops ect ) - no prob with normal cds

i solved the all lights on problem by replugging 2 cables into the cdx. it's the 2 integrated 3 pin circuit for cdx power, they are not soldred but just plugged in. look the picture for detailles.

GO ONTO YOUTUBE. TYPE IN NUMARK CDX FIX. Follow the video as instructed and this will be fixed.

Replace the drive!!! I have six and this is the ONLY problem I see with these units!

You may be able to visually tell if there is a smoked resistor on Controller board.

Sounds like the power PCB. Swollen caps. Caps can be replaced, available at tech shops.

Are you getting power? whats the model # and do you have units plugged into a power surger
