Sharp XG-C50X I have a Sharp XG-C50X that will not stay powered on. You can turn it on by hand or the remote. It will power up and the ready lights are green and it will connect and broadcast. After about 4 - 5 minutes it will disconnect and the lights will turn red. At that point the remote will not work nor can you power it back on by hand, you have to unplug it to reset it. At that point everything works again for a few minutes. We get no errors or warnings. We changed the bulb but that did not make a difference. Thanks, Riley
I have a Sharp Notevision XG-C50X that strikes the lamp and then after about a minute the lamp goes dark. The green lamp indicator blinks green and after about 30 seconds you hear a relay and the lamp re-strikes. The on off cycle repeats about 3 or 4 times and then the lamp indicator goes red and its game over until you reset. I replaced the lamp but the problem remains. All the fans are spinning and it really never has a chance to get overly hot for the short amount of time the lamp is lit. Any suggestions?I have a Sharp Notevision XG-C50X that strikes the lamp and then after about a minute the lamp goes dark. I had the same issue. Replaced the bulb but it didn't fix it. I've been told that this might be a ballast problem, but haven't brought it in to be checked yet. Anyone have a service manual uploaded somewhere we can use to check?

Hi there,
Sharp makes light and compact projectors with low fan noise. Set the projector up in areas subject to minimal humidity and dust to avoid having to clean the lens too often. Remember that colors will get washed out if the screen is in direct sunlight. Learn a few troubleshooting techniques to get the most out of this work horse projector.
No Pictures, Sound or the Projector Fails to Start
If you have no pictures, sound or the projector fails to start, check that the power cord is plugged into the wall and that all the cables are connected to the rear panel. Make sure the remote control batteries are fresh. If you are using a notebook computer, make sure the screen output is correct. Check the Input Mode on the projector. Check the projector physically--is the lamp and cover in place? Check the key lock.
Have a nice day!
We supply original projector parts: lamp, bulb, Lcd panel, Lens, DMD chip, color wheel,

if the buttons don't work or the leds are not on the projector, it has a power problem. make sure the outlet for the projector is functioning. if still nothing, the bimetal breaker on the projector may have tripped due to overheating. you'll need to remove the top cover. the bimetal has a small red button and is located on the lamp housing. push in the button to reset it. also make sure that the lamp door and the lens cover are completely installed and that the blue switches for them are not broken. this will also cause it not to turn on.
