If you have the green light and test prints OK, check the condition of the USB connector in the back of the printer. The pins inside get damaged by being too close to the wall or something like that, broken connections to the logic pcb, You can solder a new connector on if that's the problem, otherwise you may need a new circuit board.

Status light goes green when power on, but then turns red and cannot print - replaced toner cartridge- not sure what the reason for the red error light is?

You have to reset your printer with a module or replace chip when you refill toner cartridges.

My CLP-300 keeps spooling up and stopping abruptly when I turn it on. It goes from green to red. I have removed every part and checked and reinstalled it to no avail. I need to print!

I think you have refilled the toner , so replace chip when refilling toner cartridges. Or reset printer

make sure no paper jammed anywhere

make sure the print head is moving

make sure the ink cartridge is set down right

Have you run the Dr. Printer utility that comes with the printer? If not, run that and see what it says. You can download it from the CLP-300 support page at samsung.com.

There is a lot of problems that can cause the light to turn red, such as paper jam, low toner, full waste toner tank, etc. The only real way to know what the printer is detecting is to use the smartpanel utility program. It should be able to tell you what the printer fault.

Usually the reason for the optical sight glasses are dirty in the printer in the vicinity of the tank odpasowego. They are made of plastic and wear an hemisphere shape. If Z toner everything is in order and the drum is at 99% of it is the main problem with this Samsung printer.
