My dvd player stopped loading dvds. It will say "loading" for a while before it just says "disc error". It's definitely not a problem with the dvds though, I've tried a few and they all...

This is a Laser Pickup Assembly issue, the pladder motor that the dvd sits on is not working and has become defective, the only solution is replaced the machine for a new one, not cost effective for repair.

Hi I have an NEC NDT-41. The dvd player has stopped working. It gets stuck on 'Reading' for a while and then eject dvd. Happens to a number of DVD's so I ruled out a dirty dvd. Any suggestions? Thanks

Your DVD is likely in the wrong format for your DVD player to read. Try downloading the DVDs in another format or convert from DivX to DVD. Cheers, eiger3790.

A grinding sound happens when I turn on my Insignia Portable DVD Player. The sound stops when I open the case to put a DVD in. But the DVD doesn't spin. Just makes that noise. Please help!!!

this has happened to me twice, and i hate to say that it's time for a new DVD player. both times this happened to me, it was impossible to fix it. This happens to almost every DVD player after awhile. Might as well get a cheaper DVD player like I did. They last longer and when you have to replace them (with this problem), they last longer!

hey, this happened to me too. what you have to do is put it in standby mode, then press and hold the eject and stop button on the actual dvd player, the remote wont work doing this. this is how you can unlock and lock the dvds into the dvd player. why this is a feature jvc thought this needed im not exactly sure, but thats how you fix it.

Coby 626 DVD Player Remote Not Working

I have a COBY DVD player TF-DVD7005 that hadn't been used in a while. When I charged the battery and the light went from red to green, nothing happens when I push play and the DVD doesn't spin. Could the battery be dead despite the green light and where would I get a new one?
