I cant figure out why my printer HP Deskjet 3915 will not print it does work..its conncted , it does show errors. I dont have my installation software. Im trying to install it..? Anyone know Whats up? I have looked on Hp website and tried to get a free download but my version 3915 isnt there to click on, so i used the 3900 series and it still didnt work.

did you use 39xx series driver? Torn on your PC, insert the CD Driver, plug the usb printer cable in, the PC should detect finding new hardware that is HP Deskjet 3915. When asked to install driver, chose install from CD. Follow the instruction and good luck

just select driver download as well as setup.

check MS Word's print setup (File -> Print Setup) and make sure it's set to the correct printer.

I just want it to print.

I had the same problem and just talked with HP technician Neeta and she showed me how to fix it. It's a bit convoluted. In essence you have to clear the print spooler. Here is what she told me.

First you have to be clear that there really ISN'T a paper jam by printing a test message this back door way.

Neeta : The USB cable should be disconnected. Neeta: To print a self-test page, press and hold the Power button. Raise and lower the printer cover four times. Release the Power button, and the self-test page prints

If the sel-test page prints, this means you truly do not have a paper jam. Next, clear the print spooler

Neeta : The USB cable should be disconnected.Neeta : Now click on start->RUN.Neeta : Then type "services.msc".Neeta : Then it will open the services window.Neeta : Now please look for the option "print spooler. Neeta : Okay, now , please right click on the option "print spooler" and click on stop then click on start, 3 times.

clean the buffer before fiving print and then restart the system. If the problem occurs same then reinstall the printer driver and then try to print

it could be a vitsa compatiblity problem,most likely u need to check and make sure its your default printer,if it is check print head on cartridge,if it sound like its printing and nothing shows up it the print head,try new cartridge.

After downloading is finished, unplug the printer USB and run the software that you downloaded.
The software installer will tell you when to connect USB.

Some Canon printers are not Vista compatible and cannot work on Vista.
