Here are instructions on how to change the printer cartridges in an Epson Stylus. First open the printer cover. Look for the button with the picture of the ink drop on it. Press the button but do not hold it down for more then ten seconds. At fifteen seconds the align print cartridge function comes on and this will interfere with changing your cartridges. When you push the button with the picture of the ink drop on it, it will make the machine line up the cartridges in an area that you can reach easily. Then just remove the one you wish to replace. Use these instructions each time you change the cartridges.

How do you change the printer cartridge, please? I have mislaid my manual.

First make sure that the printer is on and the front cover and output tray are open. Next open the paper output cover by rotating it down towards the output tray. The ink cartridge carrier should move to the ink replacement position on the right side of the printer. Push the cartridge lock lever down until it clicks to unlock the cartridge that you need to replace. (The color cartridge is on the left.) Pull the cartridge towards yourself to remove it. Now open the replacement cartridge packaging and remove the protective tape from the cartridge. Push the new cartridge fully into the open spot from removing the old cartridge. (The label should be up and the copper covered sections should be down and facing forward.) Now push the cartridge lever lock up to lock the cartridge in place. If the lever doesn't move, check that the cartridge is fully forward in the slot. Finally close the paper output cover. Wait for the printer to complete the print head clean cycle before using the all-in-one.

Note: only remove and replace one cartridge at a time. Work quickly to minimize the chance of the ink system drying out after removing the protective tape.

Canon has the steps to change any ink cartridge on the Pixma MG4250 support site in the FAQ labeled Replacing an ink cartridge. I hope this helps.

Just bought black ink and its say the ink cartiridge isnt installed properly

Most of the time I have seen this issue because the safety strip has not been fully removed from the bottom of the cartridge, or the cartridge is not fully snapped into place. check the bottom of the new cartridge for any blockage or safety strip remains and the snap it back into place.

How to change ink cartridge on Epson SX100?

Lift the whole top section up (from under the scanner bed) and the ink cartridges will move to the centre allowing you to lift the plastic clip up and remove and replace the cartridge. DO NOt try and drag the cartridges to the right place. It should do it automatically provided the cartridges need changing. Good luck

Replaced ink cartridges but still get note to change cartridgees.

Pull the ink cartridge hook toward you and remove the ink cartridge for the colour shown on the LCD. Reinstall the ink cartridge and press down on the ink cartridge until the hook snaps over it securely. Push the hook towards the cartridge to verify it is securely latched over the top edge of the cartridge.

Keep the ink cartridge in an upright position when you insert it into the slot. Press down FIRMLY on the top of the cartridge until it is fully seated. Push the white plastic hook towards the cartridge to verify it is fully latched over the cartridge's top edge.

Sx415 I am unable to line up the printer head to

***hi there,il be willing to help you on that. ****
1. Turn on your Epson printer.
2. If a cartridge is expended, you see a message on the printer’s LCD display screen. The icon on the screen indicates which color to replace. Press Start (NX210 Series) or OK (NX410 Series).
***If you’re replacing a cartridge before you see a message on the printer’s LCD display screen, do one of the following:
NX210 Series: Hold down the Scan button as you press the Index Sheet button, then release the buttons. Press or to select Ink Cartridge Replacement, then press Start.
NX410 Series: Press Setup, press or to select Maintenance, and press OK. Then select Change Ink Cartridge and press OK.
3. Open the scanner. Do not open the ink cartridge cover while the print head is moving.
4. Open the cartridge cover.
5. Squeeze the tab on the cartridge and lift the cartridge straight up to remove it. Dispose of it carefully. Do not take the used cartridge apart or try to refill it.
6. Before opening the new cartridge package, shake it four or five times. (Do not shake a cartridge after opening the package; ink may leak.)
7. Remove the cartridge from the package, but be careful not to touch the green chip on the cartridge.
8. Remove the yellow tape from the bottom of the cartridge.
Caution:
Do not remove any other labels or seals, or ink will leak.
9. Insert the new cartridge into the holder and push it down until it clicks into place.
10. Once you replace all the necessary cartridges, close the cartridge cover and push it down until it clicks into place.
11. Lower the scanner
12. Press Start (NX210 Series) or OK (NX410 Series) to begin charging the ink. This takes about 2 minutes.
When you see a completion message on the LCD display screen, ink charging is finished.

Re install ink

I know this is a dumb question but did you remove the tape off he bottom of the ink cartridge? Also sometimes if you are using a generic ink cartridge the machine may not recognize it. Make sure the cartridge is seated in properly and that it is in the correct location. (not color spot). Hope this helps. John
