According to the specs, this printer does not have a duplex unit and therefore cannot print double sided prints. DOUBLE SIDED PRINTING USING A SINGLE SIDED PRINTER If your printer does not have a duplex unit then the printercannot print double sided pages automatically. You can print double sided pages but you have to do it one page at a time. First print Page 1 then place the page back into the paper tray, but turn thepage upside down and the print Page 2. Then print page 3 on one side then page 4 on the other side and repeat for therest of the document. I suggest you try a test page first, to get the printing the right way up onboth sides of the page so it reads correctly.

You need to go into the print driver on your Windows machine and go to the Device settings tab. One of the settings is to set whether the unit has a duplexer or not. It does not always set automatically.
Hello, I would assume a new driver has been loaded, Go to your printers folder, Check the under the printer properties and the device setting, make sure the duplex option is enabled.
Try downloading the Postscript driver instead of the PCL6 driver. There have been a lot of issues in the PCL driver. You might also try the universal driver. Both are list and can be downloaded from HP's website under the support icon.
Print a configuration page found under the info menu on the printer. Make sure that under options it shows the network card as being an installed otion (it will show enven if its a built-in embedded card) If it doesn't show you have a bad jetdirect card. If it does show make sure the IP address, Subnetmask and Default Gateway listed on the page match that shown on your SERVER & WORKSTATIONS.
If the card info on the config page reads 0000 then you will need to reconfigure the card through the menu.
If you are using a 615N Jetdirect card in the printer and it doesn't list on the config page it's most likely a bad card as they have been dying regularly. If and only if it's a HP 615N card, jump on HP's support chat at HP.com and go through the on-line chat. If your persistent and insist, they will replace the card for free. You will have to be persistent though and tell them to look up the service note that authorizes after warranty replacement. They know it's their but unless your persistent they will play dumb try and charge you. Hope that helps you.
