Hello, We have a Canon 9080C with the latest release of Capture Perfect 3. Previously we have not had a problem but now, randomly, some pages are upside down. It is supposed to recognise a page and flip it, plus we also use OCR.... Has anyone else had this occur and know how to fix it? Thanks!

I dont think the scanner can scan upside down. The image must be rotated after the scan. Any OCR software has confusion between 'L' & '7', S & 5, I & l (capital I and small L) and the OCR software rotates the drawing, based on initial perception. Just scan a set of Documents that were previously rotated while converting to PDF, as a JPG or TIFF file and check if the images are rotated.

Remove & re-install 9080 driver & Capture Perfect if the driver doesn't fix the issue. Verify you have Administrative rights to the computer as well

I hava a canon dr-2010c scanner. but when I scan the paper through capture touch 2.0 than scanning very fine but when I scan through capture perfect 3.0 than show black page scanning.
Normally it is advisable to use only one Scanning Software. The software has various files which may overwrite the previously installed version. The later version works good.

It is also possible that the brightness/contrast settings in Captureperfect 3 is not proper. Try scanning after altering these.

You will need to purchase the CD "Canon Barcode Module III" and install it on your computer: Mfg. Part: 1922B001
Then you can select it in Canon's document scanning software/Capture Perfect.

CapturePerfect ver 3 is on chargeable basis! You can download ver 2.0 from http://software.canon-europe.com/software/0022439.asp?model= Though this is listed under Canon DR 5020, it works fine with DR 9080C. DR 9080C has very intelligent features and ver 2 works fine. I do not know if there are addl features with ver 3.0. I have used for scanning over 500,000 docs.

Acrobat and Canon DR-9080C not working
You are right, it is driver related issue. Acobat 9 has more features that may not be compatible with the existing driver. may be you can use CapturePerfect and directly create PDF and then use the Optimising features of Acrobat 9. Ofcourse you have to do it twice, but you can use the 'batch' process and do it automatically.

Michael, U can buy 9080C service manual at tradebit.com 9080C has no belt for lifting the tray. It has arm and a few gears. Ensure that the plastic gears are not deformed. Good Luck. Which version of Capture perfect do you use?

Do you have enough disk space? Check if your C; drive has enough space. Normally C: is used as 'scratch area'. Try scanning intoa different location.

Scanner command invalid in current state
I have not used CapturePerfect 3.0. Hope the scanner is just fine. Try count only mode to check if it is okay.

Uninstall Captureperfect. Run chkdsk/scandisk to check if OS is ok. Reinstall Captureperfect again and it should work.
