Getting error 4359 driver in use by another
It is because there is another instance of CapturePerfect process running. You might have "X"ed it previously, but it did not terminate. To solve this, open up Windows Task Manger and kill "Cappe.exe" in the process tab. When you restart CapturePerfect, the error should go away.
My scanner won't scan. I
This may mean that something is using it or that something is interfering with it. Try turning everything off, your computer AND your scanner. Wait a minute or two and then turn your scanner on first and the turn your computer back on. When your computer boots back up don't open anything except the scanner. If your still getting the message then there is something else (another attached peripheral) that may be interfering with the scanner.

When i scan a document and it saves it as a pdf
Yes, if you have a program that lets you edit PDF files. You may want to run an OCR program first to process any words that may not have scanned properly. (There is one free version, SimpleOCR, www.simpleocr.com/ . However, it doesn't process text in multiple columns well.) If you have Adobe Acrobat, then you have direct access. Otherwise, you need one of the PDF editors (on-line or local - I haven't tried the cheap Acrobat alternatives), or a PDF converter for your word processor (an add-on is available for many, including Microsoft Office's Word, if it isn't already built-in).
I hope this helps.

Hi, i have a Canon dr 9050c scanner. I have the
It sounds like you diagnosed it.
The tray "paper detect sensor" thinks it has paper in it, and if it doesn't have paper in it...there's a problem with the sensor.
Take the tray off and inspect the sensor. Blow out around the sensor and it's PCB and make sure it is not out of position. Check the sensor lens for anything blocking it, and retest. If it still shows always on, then replace the sensor. Press the "count only" button to illuminate it, and press the "start" button. If the scanner works properly (tray lifts, pulls paper through the scanner, and counts it)...well then you have software or connectivity issue.
Hope that helps,

Does error P07 on a Canon DR-G1100 indicate that there is a paper jam or that a counter needs to be reset?
P007 indicates that a document has jammed before exiting the registration post sensor. Make sure the path is clear and no staples are stuck in the rollers. I like to use a microfiber cloth, with a small amount of 50/50 alcohol on it, to wipe down the entire feed path; top and bottom. The microfiber cloth will grab staples that may be wedged between the rollers/roller openings. Beyond that, it could be a timing issue from a bad/loose drive belt. Actually, there are quite a few things that could cause a paper jam before exiting the post registration sensor. Wipe it down and let me know.
