well the gas is put in at the factory then the port is sealed shut , field addn of gas is simply not done ,
besides something went bad that made it leak out in the first place

Sounds like your float is stuck in the full position, or the sensor that shows full is stuck on full.
If tank is empty but shows full, problem lies where full signal is coming from.

Coils can freeze if the room is extremely hot. Usually, though they freeze because the path for air flow is reduced. Check input and output grilles and coils for dirt and dust and clean as necessary.

Dehumidifier? Sounds like a warning of some sort. A humidifier does a simple job, removing moisture from the air. If yours is not set up to drain, it could have a full holding tank. Empty it out and give it a rinse and it should be good. Drop a couple drops of chlorine bleach in it to keep down the mold growth.

If it isn't a full tank, it could be an air filter that needs cleaning or replacing. Often these things are programmed in and needs to be cleared. Clean and or replace any and all air filters and look for a reset button.

Unless you are licensed and qualified professional, do not try to repair a dehumidifier by yourself. If your unit is running constantly yet there is no water in the tank, try lowering the temperature control. If the problem persists, there may be a problem within the refrigeration system. You may need to pull the filter and clean it. Also try wiping off the unit itself. When the water tank is full, the unit will shut off and will not run until the tank is emptied. The dehumidifier shuts off by a safety switch in the back of the unit. If the switch is not working properly, you may try manually pressing the button or slightly bending the switch.

Motor If the fan motor is damaged or will not work, no cool air will be coming out of the dehumidifier. The unit, however, may still run. You may need to replace the motor. If the coils in the back of the dehumidifier constantly freeze, try turning off the unit for an hour or re-locating the unit to a higher position to allow the room to heat up. If your water tank is constantly full and you are emptying it on a daily basis, you may have a water leak somewhere in the room with the dehumidifier.

After you removed the bucket to empty it, did you make sure the bucket was reinstalled properly so the it made contact with the reset switch? If not, that's more than likely the problem. Remove the bucket and reinstall it carefully. If all else fails, unplug the unit, wait 5 minutes and plug it back in. Thta may help to reset it.

you take out the filter screen and vacumn it or run it under warm water. As far as the full light is concerned it probably means the last time you emptied it you didn't seat it back into the unit properly. If you take the tank out and reinstall it the light will probably go off. Sometimes I have to do it a couple of times before it seats properly.

it should be a float whitch..somewhere around that bucket....take a look, sounds like it stuck ..and tripping whole system

Keep the filter clean and when not in use empty the water tank and store the dehumidifier in a dry environment
