How do you enter an address into the favorites ?

if you enter a destination, you should then be able to go to settings, click on settings and go to favorites, then you should be able to select add and then you can pick from destinations you have previously entered, you should then even be able to give it a name

There are two ways to do this. If you want to delete the address from showing up in the unit when accessing the "Recently Found" locations, simply go to "Recently Found" and select "Clear" from the bottom menu. If you want to delete the saved address from the "Favorites," go to the Home Screen and select "Where to?" Then select the category where you favorite is located (may not show categories if you have none). Now select the old address from the list and select "delete," and then confirm.

You would have to save each location in your favorites, then access them from the previous stop. Enter the location from the main screen. Press "Where to?" then "Address". Enter the state, city (or press "Search All") as usual. When done, press "Save". When all stops are saved and you want to access one, press "Where to?" then "Favorites". Press the saved address. When you want to go to the next address, do the same.

You can actually re-enter the same address as many time as your device can physically hold in its flash memory.
My guess is that you are looking at your old 'saved' favorite: if you want to make absolutely certain about any 'new' favorites, I would suggest that you delete or rename the original one(s) first by using:
'Changes preferences' -> scroll right to 'Manage Favorites' -> scroll up/down to locate the favorite to be maintained and either 'Delete' or 'Rename'.

How can I create a Favorite?
From the Main Menu, tap Add favorite.
You can then select the location of the Favorite from the list below.
Give your Favorite a name that is easy to remember. Your ONE will always suggest
a name, usually the address of the Favorite. To enter the name, just start typing.
You don’t have to delete the suggested name.

Select TOOLS, then MY DATA then DELETE FAVORITES then select the addresses you wish to delete.

Probably go to the favorites menu and manually add it there? if not, when you click the address when it ends up in the recently found, is there no menus that say, maybe , add to favorites?

Address Book
Contact List
There are two ways to enter Contact List.
1. Tap the [ ] in the idle screen then tap Address Book - Contact List.
2. Tap the [ ] key in the idle screen.
This menu allows you to save and manage contact address information. The
Contacts’ functions allow you to add a new address or search saved contact
addresses by name.
New Contact
This menu allows you to add a new contact address. You can enter contact
address information including name, phone numbers, email addresses, group
information items, memos, ring tones, and image (photograph).
Favorites
This menu allows you to have your own favorite contact list. You can add and
delete it.
Caller Groups
This menu allows you to manage group information. By default, there are 4
groups: family, friends, colleagues and school. You can also configure a ring
tone for a group so that the group ring tone sounds when a call from a specific
contact address within that group arrives and there is no ring tone configured
for the specific contact address.

To change the Home address on your nuvi follow the steps below:

1. From the Where to? and View Map page, touch Where to?.
2. Touch Favorites.
3. Touch Home.
4. Touch Edit.
5. Touch Delete.
6. A message will display, Delete this Favorite?.
7. Touch Yes.
8. Touch Back.
9. Touch Go Home.
10. Enter your new home address.

Note: Some models may require touching My Locations before touching Favorites.
