I downloaded the driver that is supposed to work for my windows 7 computer, but it does not recognize that a scanner exists.

Good Day Imberi!

You have to browse the software driver that you downloaded and look for scanner driver. Run the installation again.
If the software driver is not complete, you can download here: You must select first the operating system and look below the drivers.

First of all, the HP C6380 must be connected locally from the PC that you are using. You can then use the scan option from your printer or scan option from the control panel of your system.

I have recently bought a new lap top with Windows 7 OS system and am having problems getting my cannon inkjet pixus 2000 to connect to it. If i use the cd install it says it isn't compatible, i've tried...

First, uninstall the printer software that was installed from the CD. Next, download the latest driver from http://software.canon-europe.com/products/0010093.asp. If your laptop is new is is probably 64 bit. Make sure that you download and install the 64 bit version. The default versions on the CD and from most download sites is the older 32 bit version.

This will be available from the manuals section of that link - look down the bottom right for manuals and that will explain connecting to a router - also post a comment back here and I can help further

Connected to wireless network ok but wont print anymore and my PC says it is offline. I've just bought a windows 7 pc and it won't load the solutions centre disk so I dont know how to get the printer back...

I checked the IP address of the printer on the wireless network and it was different to the IP address the PC was trying to use. So I went into printer properties - printer port and changed the IP address and it started working again.

The Automatic Private IP Addressing (APIPA) protocol
automatically assigns an IP address from the range:

disabled, the default IP address of a Brother print server is
192.0.0.192. To change it, use the printer control panel (if
applicable), the BRAdmin Professional, Web BRAdmin software
