Lcd has no power.

I have checked the f1 fuse and it seems to be ok. on the main cuircut board there are two places that look like they should have fuses or cuircuts connecting them and they don't, like a burned fuse. should they have a fuse? and could i as in one of the fixes solder a piece of wire in place to repair the cuircut? one of them is c122.

I experienced the same problem several years ago and tried the suggestion provided below. It worked and it is still working today.

Resolution by John Phillips!

Here are instructions posted by John Phillips on "FixYourOwnComputer.com:"
Steps I took - and it worked beautifully - display problem solved !!

1. Ease off the plastic facia that covers the control buttons - (no screws - it just clips on)
2. Remove the cross head screw that is seen to the bottom left of the display unit.
3. Flip display unit open - remove the cross head screw that holds the dark plastic support clip that is behind the unit and top right ish!!
4. Remove the display unit - unscrew the 4 small cross head screws that hold the display assembly together - NOTE THAT THE CONNECTING RIBBON RUNS THROUGH THE HOLE - I didn't make a note at first, and it took me ages to work out where it went when trying to re-assemble it !!
5. Mark the connecting ribbon so that you know which way up it should be, then carefully pull it away from the black connecting block - Re-assemble merely by pushing it carefully back into place.
6. On the circuit board you will see a large (ish) black Integrated Circuit - using a magnifying glass you will see a tiny soldered fuse marked F1 just to one end of this Integrated Circuit.
7. Using a single strand of clean copper wire ( a single strand taken from a multi strand piece of speaker wire is ideal) carefully solder it across the two terminals
8. Having a soldering tip small enough is vital if you are to attempt this - an ordinary tip is TOO BIG. I used a piece of copper earth wire (obtained from ordinary "Twin and Earth" electricians household mains wiring cable) I then wound it around my soldering tip and filled it down to a fine point.
9. Re-assemble - switch on - and if you have been careful and succeeded in this feat of micro soldering - you should have a realistic chance of having a fully functioning display once again.

I have a Peavey Bandit 50 watt guitar amplifier that has no output with the exception of what seems to be a 60 cycle hum.

The schematic I grabbed from blueguitar.org shows several fuses in the power supplies. Did you check those, especially the one for the high voltage supply for the output tubes - fuse F1 on 'main board' ?

Vizio VL320M Vizio badge lights and turns blue, but no picture and no sound. Both power and main board have no burned parts or swollen caps. Fuse F1 is good.

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

It sounds that the main digital board to your TV has damaged. But, before make it confirm, a through check should be done. Contact any experienced service technician for help. The work is skilled one, that a user cannot do it with ease.

MY PS3 WONT TURN BACK ON

Hi,
Either power supply problem or blown surface mount fuse on the main board. First check all SMD fuses on the main board, and the fuse on the power supply board. If the power supply board fuse has blown replace it and try again, if it blows again you need to replace the power supply. If the power supply seems OK check all SMD fuses on the main board. There are 7 on the V3 and about a dozen on the V4 / V5 / V6.
Good luck...

Have just replaced both bottom screens a little fiddly but no problem but now ds will not start up, put the charger in and the orange charge light apears for a split second then goes off and console will...

Hello!

If you replaced the lower LCD PLEASE check to see if you put a pad on the bottom of the lower lcd... If the metal is touching the board then your LCD and causing the board to shutoff! and not power on.

That's the main reason your DS wont power on if you changed those things.

Also!

Your F1 or F2 fuse could have died out as well.

Dead set no standby light power ok up to

Could be anything! From a main board to a power supply. I recommend getting service on it from a authorized sony service center. If standby light doesn't appear at all for any given time, then it maybe the power supply.

Monitor doesn't work

I'd try this monitor on a spare computer. It sounds like the video card (motherboard integrated or otherwise)is not putting out any video information or missing sync signals. The monitor must receive these signals or it will go into standy/sleep mode. If the computer has integrated (on motherboard) video, check your bios settings to see if it is properly enabled. If it has a slot video board, then try a different video board. Your present board might be dead. Another possibility is a bad cable connection. check the connectors for bent pins. Assuming the connector is the standard HDB-15, it is easy to bend a pin over.
