I need to replace the rear view screen on my camera. I have the parts, just need to find the info on how to do it. Is there a blue print of how to?

The blue screen indicates no signal from the back up camera.

The bottom right screw on the rear circuit board comes out in this model (over 50 % of the time). Remove the rear cover (ground yourself!) - two black screws on side, three on bottom, two inside when you open the CF card door. Gently pull out the rear cover - CAREFUL, it is attached to the main circuit by two flexes. Check and see if the screw is shorting out the flex connector for the LCD. Retrieve and reinstall screw, and hope it hasn't shorted out part of the main circuit.

Remove the battery before you take apart the camera!!!

Blue screen is generally no signal from camera, possibly broken camera feed wiring or bad connection, if the camera is on a tailgate, breaks occur where the wiring leaves the tailgate to th car body, good luck.

It is known problem of ccd imager chip failure in DSC-T1 camera, ccd imager chip will be replace to get correct live view in camera mode to take fresh pictures.
Local camera repair shop will do this job because camera will take apart, let me know to provide you part number info if you are handy with electronics stuff repair and willing to replace ccd imager chip.

you have your wiring wrong, im guessing you have a rear view camera on there, you need to dissconnect the wire thats for the rear view camera (behind ur dvd) get another wire , connect one end to your backup lights (12v, red) and connect the other one to the wire for the camera behind ur dvd player

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check this link for more info.

The rear screen can be replaced. Unfortunately Panasonic specifically charges so much for their replacement parts that it is not an economical repair on this model of camera. The replacement screen will run in the range of $125-$145 and the labor to install it will be about $50 depending on where you go.

You are best advised to get a new camera, although because this one still "works" you can still use it as a back up!
