Olympus battery charger flashes red when battery is inserted.

@gminvite1
"Another way I found was when this happens, to push the battery to the point the light will turn on, when it starts flashing slide it off then back on. Do this a few times so it charges a little, then you should be fine to leave it on."

I tried to do this with my LI-10C Olympus charger and it worked..The blinking red light turns to solid red..Thanks for the info...Now I won't be bothering to buy a new batt.or have my charger checked..

Problem with my Olympus FE-230

When I turn my camera on, the lens goes in and out a few times. Once it's finally on and I look at the screen, everything is blurry. When I take the picture, it's blurry too. If I try to use the zoom to adjust, the lens starts going in and out all crazy and won't adjust right.

Can i transfer pictures to my ipad

With a card reader, you can move all the photos from your digital camera to computer. After that, you can take advantage of iTunes to transfer photos to your iPad. This should be easy, but please note that the RAW files takes much more storage space than the JPEG files, so you'd better take a look at your storage space of your iPad before you import photos from camera to iPad. transfer-pictures-ipad-oxaxc0rwhkhzilrwacqreyis-2-0.jpg After importing photos from camera to iPad, you can view them with the Photos app on your iPad. The RAW files can also be read on your tablet, and supported RAW files are exactly the same as your Mac computer does. http://www.leawo.org/tutorial/how-to-transfer-photos-from-camera-to-ipad.html

No function is performed, "write protect" message

Hello

OK, if the memory card itself is locked, you might sometimes get this error code. All you need to do is to take out the memory card and switch the lever on the left side to the unlock.

6c99e31.jpg

If the error is still displayed after you did the above, you might want to try the card in another camera.

If the card works in another camera . the problem is with your card reader in your camera.

If you open you sd slot and look inside with a sharp light , you should be able to see on the left side of the slot there is a little copper or spring steel lever switch. This switch work as follows:

1. When no card is inserted / no write protection , the switch is open and thus the protection is off.
2. When locked card is inserted , the tab is depressed and tells the camera that the card is lock.

Contrary to popular belief ,the little tab on the sd card is not an electronic switch and does not physically influence the card operation itself. If you put a locked card into a camera without a sd lock switch , you would still be able to use the card normally.

It is incredible difficult to fix this switch because of space limitations in the sd card. Look into the sd slot and if you can see the switch , use a needle to pull the little tab down toward the base of the camera by about 2mm or until it works being careful not to bend it.

If this does not resolve your problem , there might be a short in the switch circuit and the camera will need to be disassembled to resolve this error. This should cost no more than $50.

Please feel free to contact me if you need further information

Kind regards
Andrea

Can flash be switched of

It sure can! Take a look at the 4 way selection button that surrounds the OK button. You'll see the lightning bolt looking symbol on the right side. When the camera is set to take still pictures and not in macro mode you simply push to that button on that right side and the camera will show the possible flash settings listed on the left side of the LCD screen. To select a setting push up or down on the same square section button. If you highlight the circle with the line through it, and then press OK to set it, be no flash when you shoot. From my experience using many different digitals I've found the flash to be pretty much the main problem when trying to get a good picture and have found that turning it off and providing more external lighting is always the best way to get a good consistant picture. On most cameras with Macro mode options, the flash will be turned off automatically since it's going to be adjusting for very close up shots. Depending on brand can be set for 2-3 feet and as close to 6 inches. I found using the Macro setting to work best for me on any shot that is within 3 feet or closer. I shoot hundreds of eBay pictures every week and always use Macro and never a flash to get the most realistic color reproduction and clearest shots.

Charged battery and camera will not turn on

Clean the charger terminals (the metal) and the plastice tray. Make sure light has gone from read to green for the battery in the charger. You may also need to take a can of air (dust off or something similar) and blow out the area the battery goes into. Also make sure the battery is installed correctly. I hope this helps.

Charge battery and put in camera and camera won't turn on

It could be the battery, the charger, dirty contacts either on the battery, the charger, or the camera. And, of course, there's the possibility that the camera itself is bad. If you have a voltmeter, try measuring the voltage between the battery terminals. Clean the contacts on the battery, charger, and camera with a clean damp cloth. Try charging the battery again.

Battery compart signal says its not closed.

There is a small switch that tells the camera if the battery door is closed or not, if you can find it see if one of the contacts are bent or if the contacts are corroded, straighten if bent, clean if dirty and try it again

Deleated photos that I want. How can I retreive

If the photos are on a memory card and you haven't done anything to the card since you deleted the photos, you may be able to recover at least some of the photos. Do a Google search for "data recovery software" and select a program for you computer and operating system. Put the card into a card reader attached to your computer and run the program.

Hey my Olympus 230 digital

If you are using a memory card, take no more pics until you've recovered the photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that are available to help you recover your photos. This blog article reviews and outlines several of the better ones.
All the download links listed in the article are through CNET, primarily to verify that these are malware free software, and to give you a chance to read user reviews on the software before downloading.
