Even when I replace the toner it still says no toner

The soulution to your problem. Is that you uninstall and then re-instal your printer drivers. This is becouse you might have deleted one of your files. Try this, as in most cases like this by re-installing the printer drivers does the job.

There is no 9 4 2 0 cn machine from brother.

when you open the front cover, there is a waste toner tank on the bottom right side of the printer.
Remove the tank and chuck out the waste toner, wipe the tank clean with a cloth and slide tank back in position and close the cover.
this wil resolve the message on the screen

Check the little switch/door on the left hand side of the drums.
This has worked successfully for me.
Symptom:
After replacement of a C3530 Image Drum, the message, "Toner Sensor Error" is displayed.
Cause:
The plastic shutter in the ID is fully or partially covering the toner sensor window.
Resolution:
Move the cover upward to allow for the sensor to become fully exposed prior to reinstalling the drum.
