How do I fix Brother PT-1900 that will not power on?
Hi,,
- If you are using batteries, replace ALL six "AA" batteries, NOT just two or three batteries. Follow the pictures in the batteries compartment on positioning the "+" POSITIVE end of the batteries.
- If using an AC power adapter, check the rating of the adapter. The label on the adapter, should list the OUTPUT as 9.5VDC 1300mA. The label should also indicate the "+" POSITIVE and the "-" NEGATIVE contacts of the adapter plug. The outside surface of tip at the end of the plug, should be "+" POSITIVE and the inside contact should be "-" NEGATIVE. Using a wrong adapter can DAMAGE the machine internally and void the warranty. The recommend adapter for this machine is the AD60. If the batteries are weak or the wrong power adapter is used, it can cause the machine not to power up.
- If the machine is new just out the box, please remove the Mylar label on the display. The label blocks the display and it is difficult to tell if the machine is ON or OFF.
If the problem persists, your machine may require service.

You can attach the printer directly through USB cable to your computer and print, or you can connect the printer and your computer to the same wireless network and then print using the wireless and your connection.
Internet is not necessary, only a communication path needs to be established. For this whether its your neighbor's wifi network, your own wifi network, a usb cable connection between your pc and printer etc printing will be accomplished.
