Adjust baud rate on Sharp UX- 700 fax machine

You are being lied to, fax machines won't work reliably on a digital phone lines.

Reading all the specs I can find it is a one line fax machine.

I have a Sharp UX-300. When I get a line error, the easiest way to clear it is to unplug the fax machine from the power outlet and let it stand for at least a minute. Then plug it back in to the power outlet. If this does not clear the problem, use a regular phone to check if the phone line between the fax machine and the wall is 'OK'.
