Help! My Shark Professional Rotator vacuum cleaner Model No. 400 won’t stay “on” unless I physically hold the on/off button down while trying to vacuum. The machine is working PERFECTLY FINE aside from...

Shark vacs are not made with a very high quality standard. They also don't have a parts department. They are disposable vacuum cleaners. Before you spend too much time and money on Shark, go see what your local vac shop has to offer. You will be surprised at the quality difference at essentially the same price.

Trouble with shark navigator roller

Sorry to tell you but Shark vacuum cleaners are poorly engineered and are disposable. They do not make parts available for repair. Throw it away and don't buy another bagless, chinese made vacuum. Buy a quality vac made in USA or Germany. Miele, Sebo, Riccar

I just adopted a Bissell 1719 spot cleaner from my sister-in-law but they don't have the manuals. How do I change the battery? I don't see any removable clips, just screws in the unit housing

Good evening,

Please see the below link for the user guide/manual to this unit:
http://www.retrevo.com/support/Bissell-1719-Vacuums-manual/id/10659bh140/t/2/

This unit should include a charger for the battery. Below is the instructions on how to charge and maintain the battery.

If you need to actually replace the battery, the instructions below show the process:

Just a quick note, these units do come with a Ni-Cad battery, which should last you at least 5 years (closer to 6 or 7), and make sure that dispose/recycle the battery properly.

This can all be found in the manual (link provided at the top). I hope this helps, and please let me know if you need clarification. Please rate this solution!

Thanks,

~PCF
